
Sameer Phaterpekar is a renowned and versatile music composer, celebrated for his contributions to Bollywood and beyond. With over 1000 films to his name, he has worked with legendary composers like R.D. Burman, Kalyanji-Anandji, and Laxmikant-Pyarelal. Notable tracks he’s contributed to include ‘Hawa Hawaii’ (Mr. India) and ‘Choli Ke Peeche Kya Hai’ (Khal Nayak).
In 2002, Sameer launched his career as an independent composer, releasing his debut album Khoobsurat with lyricist Anand Bakshi and singer Talat Aziz. He has since composed background scores for films in Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, and Punjabi. His score for the 2005 marathi film Dombivli Fast, which won the prestigious National Film Award for Best Feature Film, solidified his standing as one of the industry finest.
Sameer’s work also extends to OTT platforms, where he has created music for popular series such as Criminal Justice and Out of Love. He shares his original compositions on his YouTube channel, ‘SSRV MUSIC’.
